CCUT-204: Automatic Trimmer for Packages of Cardboard Sheets

INDUTECH has designed an automatic corner-trimming machine for trimming the four corners of food-grade cardboard sheets. This process produces corners that are either straight or rounded, as needed, to enhance the product’s appearance while making packaging easier. By removing sharp edges, the risk of the heat-shrink film tearing is significantly reduced, which improves the quality and reliability of the packaging.

The machine stands out for its high flexibility. The format is selected directly from the touchscreen on the operator interface, which automatically controls the machine’s main settings. Depending on the variation in package dimensions, a few additional mechanical adjustments may be necessary to ensure optimal cut quality.

Depending on the format being processed, the average throughput is 6 packets per minute. Cardboard scraps are collected in a bin located beneath the machine, which can be connected to a vacuum system to facilitate their removal and simplify cleaning.

To accommodate the various levels of automation required, the machine can be equipped with an automatic loading and unloading system, allowing it to be integrated either as a standalone unit or as part of a complete production line.
