FENCE-241: Garden screen machine

The FENCE241 is a 15 x 25-meter automated production line for screw assembly of wooden panels up to 2 x 2 meters.

The installation incorporates 16 automatic screw machines working simultaneously to ensure fast, repeatable production. The FENCE241 comprises infeed conveyors, transport chains, transfer robots, a robotized palletizing cell and a shuttle system for evacuating finished pallets.

One of the main challenges of this project was to automate a natural material like wood, which can vary in size and characteristics. The machine has therefore been designed to maintain consistent assembly quality while retaining a high degree of production flexibility.

Operators can configure different panel formats and board sections to suit their manufacturing needs. The FENCE241 also incorporates current industrial technologies such as Profisafe and IO-Link to guarantee safety, diagnostics and reliability.
