As part of a Factory 4.0 project, Indutech has developed a fully automated waterjet cutting cell dedicated to the production of titanium parts at high production rates.

The main objective of this installation was to guarantee a reliable, repeatable and high-performance manufacturing process, while minimizing operator intervention. To achieve this, the cutting machine was combined with an industrial robot that automatically loads and unloads the parts.

Particular attention has been paid to the design of the cutting area. It incorporates an automatic clamping system for precise part holding, as well as hidden-time loading to maximize machine utilization.

Thanks to this architecture, the cell achieves cycle times of less than one minute per part. Production is continuous, with the machine stopping only when the cutting zone is changed.

This achievement illustrates Indutech’s expertise in the development of customized robotized cells combining waterjet cutting, industrial automation and production performance optimization.
